Challenge

Performance Paralegals Ltd. (PPL) of Edmonton, Alberta, having committed as a company to be early adopters of legal technology, knew they wanted a cloud-based platform that would put their services at the forefront of the market. As a small team, automation was integral to efficient day-to-day operations. In addition, with their high volume of short-term clients, they needed a way to save on the costs associated with printing and copying. Because Roberta’s company does not act as registered office for their clients, they can classify records as “active” and “inactive,” which keeps their operations organized and scaled. And, if the client returns (which often happens), their transactions and records are stored securely and digitally without needing to repeat any data entry.

Performance Paralegals now offers virtual minute books to their clients, which has not only reduced cost and time but added to their “technology-forward” commitment by being one of the first teams in their area to digitize.

Roberta also reports that her experience with Athennian’s support center and self-training videos are straightforward and easy to navigate when she wants to explore new features on the platform, such as amalgamations.
